Chrome & Safari extension

Read the page you're on, in two languages.

Just click the bookmark ribbon at the right edge. Translations appear right under each paragraph like a thread, and the layout stays intact.

Works in Chrome, Edge and other Chromium browsers, and in Safari (macOS). A free account is required.

What the extension does

Translate a whole page with the ribbon

Click the slim ribbon at the right edge to switch the page to bilingual. Click again to restore the original.

Translate a selection with the stamp

Knowledge cards

Proper nouns get a dotted underline; hover to see their reading and a short explanation.

Bilingual video subtitles

Show original and translated subtitles together on YouTube and more, with adjustable position and size.

PDF viewer

Read PDFs opened in your browser with pages and translations side by side.

Tab audio translation

Listens to streams and webinars without subtitles and shows translations as captions (Chrome).

Five display styles for how you read

  • Thread (default) — translation under the original
  • Washi — translation on a soft background
  • Study mode — translation blurred until you hover
  • Subtle — small translation under a dashed line
  • Translation only — hover to see the original
