Paid plans renew automatically every month (monthly) or every year (yearly), and the same amount is charged on each renewal date. Cancel anytime; you keep access until the end of the paid period. Orders cannot be cancelled and are not refunded, including prorated refunds.
Before subscribing, please read the Terms of service, the Specified Commercial Transactions Act notice and the Privacy policy. Your order is confirmed on the Stripe payment page that follows.
Prices are in Japanese yen (JPY) and include Japanese consumption tax. At checkout, Stripe shows the amount converted to your card’s currency; your card issuer may apply its own exchange rate.
Academic discount
Students and staff get 50% off paid plans
Verify a university or research-institution email address ending in .ac.jp and get 50% off both Basic and Pro. Open to students, faculty and staff.

Terms of the academic discount
- For students, faculty and staff with an email address ending in .ac.jp (Japanese universities, colleges and research institutions).
- Add the address in your account settings and open the link we email to it. If your account's own verified email address ends in .ac.jp, no extra email is needed.
- Once verified, the 50% discount is applied automatically at checkout. If you already have a paid plan, the discount applies from your next payment.
- The discount lasts 12 months from the day it is applied.
- A verification is valid for 12 months. To keep the discount after that, verify your address again in your account settings.
- Each address can be used by one account only. The discount cannot be combined with other coupons or promotion codes.

Until your email address is verified, free-plan limits are lower (e.g. 5,000 characters a month).
About the offer
- Open to new accounts created by November 30 (Japan time) whose email address has been verified.
- Once your email address is verified, you can use the Basic plan free for 2 months. There is nothing to apply for.
- Limited to once per person.
- When the period ends, your account returns to the Free plan automatically. You will not be charged.
- The offer may be changed or ended without notice.
Billing and cancellation
Which payment methods are accepted?
Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB and more), Apple Pay and Google Pay. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we never store your card number.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel anytime from “Manage billing” in your account settings. You keep paid features until the end of the period you paid for.
What happens if I change plans?
Upgrades apply immediately and the difference is prorated. Downgrades take effect from your next renewal date.
Can I get a refund for a yearly plan?
We do not offer prorated refunds after payment for monthly or yearly plans, except where required by law. See the Specified Commercial Transactions Act notice for details.
Can I get receipts?
Stripe emails a receipt for every payment. Past invoices can be downloaded anytime from “Manage billing”.
What happens when I hit the limit?
Translation pauses for the rest of the month and the limit resets on the 1st (Japan time). To continue right away, consider upgrading.
